Introduced in the Federal period as a rack to hold large folios of music, the Canterbury remains essentially unchanged in form today

It can be used to store and display magazines and books

This example, was copied from an original English Canterbury

Featuring three compartment sections and a drawer for storage with a brass pull

Legs rest on brass casters

Well suited to be used beside an easy chair, sofa or bedside

Original is circa 1790
